Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport Terminal 1
Terminal 1 of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport is just for domestic and regional flights within the country.
Though it is an international airport, it has never been an important airport due to the underestimate of the developments done so far which were based on regional requirements, forgetting about the concept of hub airport.
Nowadays, the Domestic Terminal hosts flights to 16 major cities of India of 4 domestic airlines. It can handle over 400 arriving and 400 departing passengers.
During Hajj season there is a special terminal available to host pilgrims to Jeddah.
The Domestic Terminal is located on the ground floor.
It has 2 boarding gates, and also an additional one for emergencies.
It also has capacity for 325 aircraft, either for arrivals and departures.
Additionally, you can find 13 check-in counters, along with 6 customs, 3 security and 9 immigration counters.
